I have been involved with the Yepafrica Foundation since 2013 and in 2023 I rejoined the board as country coordinator for Gambia.
In 2013, I lost my heart to the young people in Gambia who attended my first ‘train the trainer’ Marketing Essentials workshop, which I gave for the Yepafrica Learning Center in Brikama, which was still in its infancy at the time. I went back many times after that. What passion, eagerness to learn and life wisdom and what strength these young people show me every time!
I now enjoy supporting the local government in Gambia to empower young people through training and coaching. Based on empowerment, entrepreneurship, ethics and equality, we work together to build sustainable change. The experiences and knowledge we have gained in Gambia are now finding their way in other African countries where Yepafrica is starting Learning Centers together with local young people and offering courses in empowerment and entrepreneurship.
